Newborn babies grow sooo fast, and all those cute clothes, shoes, dresses, and hats barely get worn before they are outgrown. When we’re photographing babies, we encourage parents to bring items that are very special or unique to their child, whether it’s an antique rattle handed down from generation to generation, or a handmade blanket or quilt, or even a very personalized gift, such as these cute shoes for baby:
These converse sneakers are custom-designed by a local designer, Lucky to Be in Love, in Carlsbad, CA. She customizes each shoe to each parent, with interesting facts, nicknames, ethnicity, or other interests, and combines that with the infant’s birth info. What a unique concept that captures the family! These particular shoes are sized for when the baby is walking, so he won’t be growing quite as fast as those first few months, and how cool is it that he will have a keepsake later on that tells his story in such a personal way! And, by the way, they also do custom bridal shoes, and other unique items!

How stinkin’ adorable is this handmade newborn pompom hat? I’m dyin’! Miss “A” was such a doll during her session, and apparently she’s quite stylish, as she donned several different looks.
In mom and dad didn’t know – this little one already has them wrapped around her tiny little fingers!
She was wide awake most of the session, and kept her eye on us.
