C U SOON!
La Bohemian | San Diego You*NIQUE Senior Photographers
When we were talking to Jordan and her family to arrange her senior portraits, we wanted to know her style and taste. She’s involved in theatre and has her own unique style, described as “bohemian”. And seriously, the girl can put together some cute outfits! Love, love, LOVE the hat!! and the scarf, the boots, and the red flats . . . Yep, the style, fashion, fun, and energy are just a few of the many reasons we love working with high school seniors! Here are a handful of our favorites . . .
We hear from a lot of teens that they don’t like their senior photos from the school-assigned senior photographer. It’s not that the big companies don’t know how to take good photographs, but they work with HUNDREDS and HUNDREDS of seniors, and when that’s the case, it’s hard to have a unique session, tailored to capture your “You*NIQUE” personality, style, and flair. For most people, a picture is just a picture. But if you like to stand out, make a statement, and be You*NIQUE, then we’re here for you! We’re small, and we want to get to know YOU!

Class of 2011 Reps – Get Free Stuff!! | San Diego High School Senior Photographers
Calling Class of 2011 Reps!! If you’re here because you’re interested in becoming a representative/spokesperson, congratulations – you’ve taken the first step!
So what’s a Rep do? Well, they enjoy an awesome, off-the-hook senior session, get rep cards and products, and then they go tell everyone what a great time they had. When they tell their friends, and their friends complete their senior portraits with BlueFlair, our reps earn studio credit, cash, and prizes – how cool is that?
So you’re not a supermodel? No problem! We’re looking for representatives that are social, fun, like being in front of the camera, and like sharing their photos with friends. Our reps use social media, have a large group of friends, and probably are involved in extracurricular activities.
But wait – what if your school says you have to do your yearbook photo from someone else? That is true – BUT what you may not realize is that you get to take your senior portraits from whoever you like!
To apply – start by messaging either @Stefanie Blue or @Nikkie Achartz here on Facebook, OR submit the contact form on the website: You*Nique by BlueFlair
We can only take a couple representatives per high school in Carlsbad and surrounding areas (e.g. Del Mar, La Jolla, La Costa, Racho Santa Fe, San Elijo, San Marcos, and Oceanside). And yes, you’ll need your parent’s permission before we can accept you as a representative.
Application deadline is 5pm on April 10th, and space is limited!

The Smile That Went on Forever | San Diego Senior Photography

Shelly had this smile that just wouldn’t quit! She fell into her poses pretty naturally, and we had a lot of fun photographing her senior portraits in Balboa Park! One of the things we love about Balboa Park is how many backgrounds we can do for different looks. And we always encourage our seniors to bring a few outfit changes to mix it up even more! Enjoy the sneak peeks!

I love the look of fall in this first one!

Just look at those pretty eyes!

Puppy Love! | San Diego High School Senior Photography

While working with this high school senior in La Jolla, this dog came by and simply inSISted in having his portrait done, too! Our girl here, is a real animal lover, so it was great! Joey, the dog, squished in close, snuck in a couple of kisses, and then got his “closeup” with a pretty girl!! Good times!

Here she is in her letterman jacket . . . lots of accomplishments patched on there!

How awesome are those eyes! Captivating!!

And, of course, we had to grab a few beach images for this So Cal girl!
Rock n’ Roll High School: Boy vs. Girl
So a couple of weeks ago we had a kick-butt senior session with Hannah. This week we have Tyler. Teen boys, generally speaking, aren’t all that enthusiastic about getting their senior portraits taken. They don’t go all giddy like the girls sharing their photos. So OUR challenge is to make the guys not only comfortable in front of the camera, but to realize just how cool they look. It’s so great when a GUY is impressed with his image. When they see themselves as the man they’re becoming – well, quite simply, we’ve done our job. We work to incorporate something personal into the image, because when the personality is captured, so is the soul. Nothing defines Tyler more than his guitar. He’s completely self-taught, and he rocks. He’s working with his first “garage” band now. He practices his guitar at least an hour a day, something his mom never has to ask him to do! That’s discipline, dedication . . . and why he really looks like a rock star!!

Rock n’ Roll High School (Seniors, that is)
Ok – newborn babies are incredibly sweet to photograph, and I love them. Giggly little kids – keeps us young. Beautiful brides – love the emotion and drama. But put us in front of a high school senior that is ready to rock a session and give us some sass, some fashion, and generally rockin’ images – and I turn into this complete and utter geek. Then, pick a great location – like this one in Little Italy, downtown San Diego, and I’m seeing color and poses, and spend days thinking about images I want to get! Nikkie sees lines and patterns and creates some stunning images with awesome patterns! And that’s only the first half of it – THEN we get to play up the images in PhotoShop and make all sorts of OTHER creative choices. It’s easy to lose ourselves in the process – we just dig it that much! Here’s our most recent San Diego high school senior, Hannah. I’d say she “brought it”!!

Thanks, Hannah! You were awesome!
Like what you see? Leave us some love . . . .
